I am not sure why lately I am noticing the small things around me. Like this tiny mushroom which is buried in grass in a sea of vegetation.
It had an interesting shape and color at first glance. On my knees it looked so interesting. Sticking my iPhone upside down in the grass I pulled the shutter.

After getting back home I looked at the image closer. There is so much going on even smaller than the mushroom. The sticks, moss, blades of grass. I didn't see them. Not until later.
It was dusk. But there is still a reflection of the sky on the mushroom hat. There is wild clover yet to be eaten by the smaller creatures around here. There are giant oak trees behind it you can't see.
Slowing down has been a chore lately. It is getting easier. My season and winds are shifting. My course is not being corrected as strong lately.
I am less likely to adjust my sails to accommodate these shifting winds. I'm going to see where things take me instead.
