NOTE: This motorcycle has been sold.
You’ve come here to learn about my 1993 Honda ST1100 I have for sale.
I’ve owned this machine since November of 2003 where I purchased it from a Honda dealer in Dallas Texas. At that time it had 23,468 miles on it when I picked it up. The dealer told me that it only had one previous owner.
Over the last 16 years I’ve put 71,857 miles on the motorcycle. It has a total of 95,325 miles. It runs today like the day I purchased it. Sounds like any other ST1100 (very quiet).
Since I’ve owned the ST1100 I’ve made these major modifications:
- Helibars to replace the stock handlebars. This raises your riding 3-4 inches making the longer rides much more comfortable.
- Russell day-long riding saddle with back rest.
- Replace the original engine oil cooled 28 amp stator with the external 40 amp air-cooled alternator used on 1996-2002 ST1100s. This came standard with newer model ST1100’s. There is plenty of power to run all of the electronics. This job required $650 in parts from Service Honda.
- Heated grips with two different settings.
- GIVI Monolock top case to hold your stuff.
- Removable Garmin 2730 GPS (waterproof).
- LED fog lights with two modes: wig-wag and steady on.
- Machined handlebar grip end weights.
- Pressure cruise lock to give your right hand a break on the throttle.
- Tripple-Tee bearings have been recently replaced. This bike will come with those tools to do that again if required later in its life.
- Foot rests that disappear into the crash bar. I can’t remember what you call these guys.
- There is a fuse bus under the seat that takes blade fuses. This fuse bus is Anderson Power Pole type.
- There is a cigarette lighter in the glove well on the left side that can be used to power other stuff.
- I installed the cockpit dash that has BMW style connectors for your heated gear. There are also two switches that run the electronics on the bike.
- Headlamps can be either Honda stock or automotive type. There is a metal key that will allow for either to be use at your preference.
- There are plenty of RAM MOUNT balls to connect all your stuff to the handlebars.
- Haynes 1990-2001 service manual, 1991-2001 Honda service manual and a 1991 Honda service manual will come with the bike.
- I have a spare front and rear tire with ½ to ⅔ of the treads. I changed the tires before a long trip so I didn’t have to worry about it on a long trip I took.
- It will come with a grey cover I use for it when it’s not in use with me.
- I will ship this bike for free if you live within 100 miles of my zip code.
I’ve done all of the maintenance on this motorcycle myself including any work mentioned above. The only thing I have done is tires and then I take the wheels to the dealer for that work.
The only time this machine has been rained on is with me in the saddle. It’s also the only time it sees the sun or other elements. I keep it under a dust cover in my garage.
The bike is a joy to ride. I’ve taken on many cross country trips over the years. It’s a very road worthy machine.
You can find detailed photos of the motorcycle here. If you’d like to take a walk around the bike in a video go here.
I am asking $2,500 for this bike. You can contact me here for more information.
